My crochet skills are very basic, but I have made a few dishcloths, plus I inherited a few from my mom. You are right, that they do work best. The crochet creates a thicker fabric.

I went on a scrunchie making bend this year... Did a bunch in school colors for my daughter for school, plus some holiday ones. They don't take long neither. I can do one up in an hour or so...

A couple of blankets/afgans are due for this year, plus a scarf for a friend of mine that has survived ovarian cancer (pink is for breast, well, teal is for ovarian)...

Nathalie, I've been crocheting dishcloths a lot lately. They are definitely stronger and better as dishcloths than the knitted ones I used to make.

I made one, and I enjoyed it, but it was the easiest crochet stitch. I seem to get stuck on the harder stitches and the turning thing.
