Stockinette stitch
I've been coming back to this site frequently to look at the videos which are very helpful. And I've encouraged other knitters I know to do the same. This is a great help. My question is about the stockinette stitch. I'm knitting the correct way. I use the Continental method. And I have a friend that throws her yarn with her right hand. However, each of us has the same problem where the left side of our knit stitch appears to twist or looks like a rope. Why does this happen & can this be corrected?

It sounds like you're knitting through the back loop for the knit stitch maybe?

You may be wrapping the yarn 'backwards'. Which is okay, you don't have to change, but knit the st on the next row into the leg closest to the needle to untwist them.
