Chart Reading
I have never knit from a chart. Any ideas for research to learn this?
Thanks,
Marty

Charts are pretty simple. There should be a legend somewhere for it that will tell you what mark is what stitch. You basically follow it just as you would follow written instructions. One main difference is if it's something knit flat, row one will start on the right and two on the left, etc. They number this, so just pay attention to the numbers and you're good there. (The end the number is on is the end you start at for that row.) Anything cabled is worked on the knit side, which is the right side, so there won't be any backwards of those symbols... just do what it shows!

I find using post-it notes to keep track of where I am works very well. Put one above the row you're working and move it up as you go.
