Knit Picks crochet hooks

Do any of you dear people have any experience with Knit Picks crochet hooks? They have a set of Tunisan hooks, for $39.00 that comes with instructions. I've been wanting to get into that.

I don't know about the Knit Picks crochet hooks, but I know you can buy Boye brand at Michael's with a coupon or Joann's or maybe even Walmart for a lot less than that. There are lots of tutorials on tunisian crochet around. I have a few on my own website too if you'd like to take a look. They can be found HERE in the list of video tutorials.

I always like to invest as little money as possible when trying out something new, then if I really like doing it, I'll go for the more expensive or better quality tools.

Decided to go ahead and order the set from KnitPicks. Over the years, Boye cables and I haven't gotten along too well, and with the exception of my Denise circular set, all my knitting needles come from KnitPicks. I love the ease of dealing with them.

I always seem to be 'lending' crochet hooks out to friends who want to learn, with a set, I won't be letting them do any 'borrowing'.

Be sure to come back here and give us a little feedback on your new set of hooks. I'd be very interested to hear how you like them. I've only just used straight tunisian hooks, not the kind with cables, as I just do little things like dishcloths in tunisian. But with a good cabled hook, I can see doing something like an afghan all in one piece and enjoying it.
