Beanie with ear flaps
Hi All

My next knitting project is to be a beanie with ear flaps for my almost one year old, I thought that I had found one on line, however I am stuck at the first hurdle and I am hoping someone will be able to help me and explain some of the instructions to me in very basic language........

It states that it is suitable for beginners, but maybe I am too much of a beginner??

My first question is what does CO1 mean? I would have thought it meant "cast on one" but is that possible???

Second question is what "knit into stitch" means, I have found what "knit into stitch below" means, but is she refering to the same thing?

Maybe I am not up to this type of knitting yet so I should just give it a miss.

Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated
