problems reading pattern..

Hello !

I'm just trying to crochet the Fawn out of the Book Amigurumi!: Super Happy Crochet Cute, and I'm stuck on rounds 20-24..

I've got 42 stitches and it says

round 20-24 invdec 6 sc evenly spaced (12st at the end of round 24)

I'm just having trouble calculating out all the stitches

Could anyone help me please?

I'm assuming your are starting round 20 with 42 stitches, yes?

If that's the case, you will decrease 6 stitches evenly across, so that means you would make a decrease every 7 stitches (42 divided by 6).

On the next row, you will have 36 stitches, so when you divide 36 by 6, you get 6. So you would make a decrease every 6 stitches.

And so on.

Also, you count roundss 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24, so you're decreasing 6 stitches on 5 rounds = 30 total decreases.
