Knitting with circular needles
Help! I am knitting a triangular shawl on circular needles and know this must seem like a ridiculous question, but does it matter how I hold the knitted part at the beginning of each row? The knitted portion I have already done can lie either on my knee or against my abdomen. (I guess I don't have to tell you I am new at this. Does it matter which way I hold it?

Nope, whatever works for you. After it grows, you won't have to hold it against you, it'll just sit in your lap.
