decrease pattern help!

Please help!!!
" dec 1 st at each end of next and 6 foll 4th rows, then on foll 11 alt rows." What does this mean??

On these rows, be sure to decrease one st at each end (so you decrease 2sts per row). You dec on the next row and then every 4th row for 6 times. Then dec every other row, 11 times.
So if you call the next row, row1, the decreasses would be on rows 1,5,9,13,17,21,25 and then27,29,31,33,35,37,39,41,43,45,47.
