what kind of stitch pattern is this?
i'm not very experienced with knitting and i looked all over the internet to see what the name of this possibly is or the instructions to how to knit this pattern.

i looked online and thought it was very similar to a linen stitch but it's still not the same.

any help would be much appreciated!!!

It looks like seed stitch in the body of the jacket and the lining of the hood. Outside of the hood is stockinette so there must be a double layer there.
