FO: Old Pennsylvania Dutch Afghan
Finally got the afghan for my aunt finished today!! The fringe took me forever to do, but it's worth it, I like the way it turned out!!

That's gorgeous! It has elements of quilting in it, I see. I really really like it!

Yes I've always loved this pattern. I was so thrilled when I finally found the pattern on Ravelry a few years back. Here's my project page if you're interested in making your own. The pattern is kinda hard to understand at first, because it's from 1954, and as I've discovered, there was no established pattern writing standard. It took me about 2 or 3 days to finally get a square completed, but it is definitely worth it when you have it figured out.

Oh, you have really done well with this afghan. The pattern was really not easy to understand but you did it! Lovely color and beautiful work.

It is going to be just beautiful. Your aunt will love it. I grew up near a large Amish and Mennonite community in Northwest Indiana and their crafts are always so beautiful

That's beautiful!

I was just looking at counterpane patterns on Rav last night and bookmarked this one.
