Shape cap of doll sweater sleeve

Sue was able to help me once before get the top of my doll sweater sleeve down to 11 stitches. Those directions were to Bind off at beg of row [4 sts] 4 times, then dec 1 st at each edge (k1, ssk, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog,k1) [every RS row] 3 times, then [every row] 4 times--11 sts rem.
Now the directions say to: Bind off rem sts, dec 1 st at each edge as above. Which part of the above directions does this mean to use? And exactly how does this work as a bind off for the curve for the top of the sleeve or is the top of the sleeve suppose to be flat. As you can tell I am fairly new to knitting. Thanks for any help you can give me.

I don't understand how you can BO remaining sts AND dec 1 st on each edge... The dec 1 st each edge as above would be k1, ssk k to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1. Unless you're supposed to do that until you get down to 4 sts or so, then BO...? What's the pattern, is it online where we can see it?

The pattern is from Creative Knitting Sept 2009 Ribbon Bow Cardigans by EJ Slayton These are matching sweaters for a girls and her Am Girl doll. The pattern starts on page 52.

Hmm okay, was hoping it was online. So after the dec every row 4 times you're left with 11 sts. Then is there anything before 'BO remaining stitches'? If you could type out exactly what it says after 11 sts that might be helpful...

I think I figured it out! It say dec 1 st at each edge that is the same terminology as used in the paragraph above just prior to the instruction to (k1, ask, knit to last 3 sts, k2tog, k1) I will try that until the 11sts are gone.
To answer your question Sue the pattern instructions simply state what I typed in my prior post. It goes from 11 sts rem to -- Bind off rem sts, dec 1 st at each edge as above. That was why I was so confused!

Well it was confusing to me too. Usually you don't dec the last few rows on a sleeve cap, just BO on 2 rows or something.

Okay I found it on Ravelry, and maybe it's a typo leftover from the girl's sweater where you would BO, but on the doll sweater you just dec. That's what the pictures look like. If the front and back armhole shaping just had decs and no 'work straight until X inches' instruction then you match the shaping on the sleeves.
