I'm making a hand puppet for my daughter, and i've come to an impasse. is there a difference b/t (p into back of yo) and (p threw back loop). if so can you direct me to a good site that might have a continental video.

I think that sounds the same. There's a video on the Glossary page under ptbl. It's for a regular stitch, but you'd do the same for a yo.
