Help: not sure what I did wrong!
Hi there,

I'm a fairly new knitter, and I am working on a Marian cowl. I know that I made a mistake, but I just don't know what I did wrong.

This pattern is seed stitch on #19, 24 inch circular needles. In the picture below, the mistake is first on the needle. If you can tell what I've done wrong, please let me know! Thanks so much!

You brought the yarn over the needle when moving it from the front to the back instead of between the needles. Just knit the next stitch, drop the extra loop off the needle and purl the one after that and you'll be back on track. The dropped loop will be loose, but it'll work into the sts beside it when you wash the cowl when you're done.
