I haven't checked the chain stores for it, but if they have a natural foods section it would be there. I live in a college town and the local 'chain' (three stores) carries a lot of the same products you'd find in a health food store.

For a while I was finding $1 off coupons on coupons.com. Vitamin Cottage has had the refrigerated So for as little as 2.50 for a 1/2 gallon. Trader Joes has their own brand, but I haven't tried it yet. I made "ice cream" tonight and it came out pretty good. I used regular sugar in it, since the rest of the family would be eating it. I would like to try some with stevia, but I think the sugar does give it a better texture. Coconut palm sugar would probably work. I should have tried that.
