Trouble with purling

I know there is probably already a tread on this, but... well when ever I try to purl, I just can;t do it >.< It's making me so frustrated and every single video or how 2 I've seen has just made me more frustrated. The one on this site says to go down but that just ends up twisting the stitch for me and I can't get the yarn onto the right needle unless I go from under the loop not from above and I don't know if that would make a purl stitch, help please >.<
