looking for unisex cardigan in fisherman rib stitch
I would like to find a pattern with a shawl collar.

I do not need buttons or pockets. Just a plain sweater with a shawl collar going the whole length of the sweater.

I appreciate any help I can get.

I have checked ravelry.com - have not found exactly what I want. I am not very good at making patterns.

I appreciate any help that I can get.

Sincerely,
Deb Brown

Have you found a basic cardigan with the shaping and collar you want? You could take one done in stockinette stitch but knit it in the Fisherman's rib pattern. You may have to use a smaller size or smaller needle because the rib pattern spreads out more than stockinette.

Here's a cardigan in brioche stitch which will give you the same look as fishernan's rib. http://briochestitch.com/brioche/ind...d=68&Itemid=64

and a fisherman's rib from Vogue knitting that could be done with out the pockets and buttonholes. You can often get back issues of the magazine or buy individual patterns from the website.
