Please help - have I runined blanket in washer?
Hi everyone,

I am not a knitter but am seeking advice. My child has several hand knitted baby blankets and I have always washed on gentle cycle, cold without an issue. Just did the same for a new one she received as a present and I fear I've ruined it. I want to cry.

After researching a bit more, my guess is it's wool and it has felted a bit and shrunk. I did not put in the dryer. Is there anything I can do to help fix it - soak, stretch, etc?? I feel just horrible and am sure you hate people like me who ruin the gorgeous gifts you make. Thank you so much for your help.
