That's a great idea and I'm definitely going to do that with Kaari! I've been dreading starting with the back piece. Hopefully I will have it finished before spring semester. I'm sure I'll be posting about all the problems I run into with it.
I hope it looks half as good as your cardi!

Jan, I cast on for the Garland Cowl tonight, using this leftover yarn. I knit a cardigan with it recently, the Perry.

So far, so good, although I could not manage that elastic cast on called Jeny's Elastic cast-on, shown on YouTube. Bah! I just went with a very loose cast-on using a US11, then switching to the US10.5 for the work. I even set up the LT stitches as loose as possible without being messy.
