help w sweater instructions

As a beginner knitter, I have just finished a sweater for my roommate and dont understand the assembling instructions, can any one give a hand?

Yes, a link to the pattern is always helpful or you can quote just the lines that are causing you problems. Usually the method of assemby is to sew the shoulder seams, attach the sleeves and then sew the long seams down each sleeve and along the side. Your pattern may have its own specific instructions, however.
