I am interested in "Getting started" as i just learned how to knit (i used to crochet, and knitting is a lot easier!!) and "Little Lullabies" I hope i win!!
I just learned to Knit about 6 weeks ago and love it. I have so far made 2 dishclothes that SUCKED (lol) and 4 scrafs that ROCKED (learning as i go!!) and a baby blanket!! Am now working on a hat with circular needles; a bit challenging!!
HAppy New Year everyone!!!
Heather
I've only crocheted one project (an afghan for my son when I lived in England) ...then a couple years ago took a couple knitting classes at a shop in town. I like knitting much better...although I have friends who prefer crochet because they say it works up so much faster. Each to their own...although I'd love to learn crochet for edgings, etc.
I enjoy both crafts. And it's a good thing I do. Sometimes, my wrist will start to bother me if I crochet for too long. So, I switch to knitting for a while, and everything settles down.
Like you said, it's great to use crochet for edging items. I do that a LOT!
I am busy putting all the registrations on a spreadsheet. I am clicking "Thanks" on your post when your entry has been registered.
PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THE DEADLINE TO ENTER FOR PRIZES IS IN JUST 45 MINUTES! (11 PM EST - 12-31-12)
I will need about 30 minutes to finish up the entries, so I can do the prizes when our party starts. This year, instead of putting names in a box, I am putting them on a spreadsheet, and using an online random dice roller. Our prizes are going digital!
Thanks for all your hard work in getting this organized for us!
