So, here's how my work went on our little New Year's 2013 KAL
Here's the yarn I chose. A vintage 100% wool yarn from my stash. And a set of vintage knitting needles as well!

This shows how my green square looked after I did the duplicate stitch embroidery for "KH" (stands for the Knitting Help Forum)

And this is the yellow square, with the duplicate stitch "2013" on it.

You can tell in those photos, that I already stitched them together. They need to be stitched along both sides, as well as across the bottom. Finally, you stitch across the top, leaving an inch unstitched, so there is a hole at the top.

I'm heading off as well. I'm watching the movie Amazing Grace...the clips of which are in the video for the song Amazing Grace/My Chains are Gone, by Chris Tomlin. It's a gripping movie about the British slave trade and one man's attempt to end it.
Happy New Year to all of you!

That is good to hear! There were some fireworks in my part of the world as well. And my stupid neighbor is drunk again...and yelling at everyone about who knows what. He really should stay away from alcohol.

That rule is "if you can't see it from the back of a galloping horse 20 feet away, don't worry about it."
I always tell people to put their knitting down and back off about 6 feet and if they can't see whatever mistake they're fretting about, it doesn't matter.

Fireworks are so hard on animals. Poor Miss Macy, i'm glad she's settled now. I think I managed one row of knitting tonight. LOL
