Does anybody know how to knit Bat ears?

So, it's my friends birthday coming up VERY SOON. He asked for a hat, and since it's on short notice, I'm just going to loom knit the hat.
But, he asked for there to be BAT EARS on it. Why? Because everybody calls him Batt. Why? I have no idea.

I can't find ANY bat ear patterns anywhere!
Now, bat ears are large, but I don't want them to be too large to fit on the hat. I can knit, and loom. I can't crochet.

P.S. If you absolutely CAN'T think of anything, do you think just a little knitted bat icon would be better? If so, a pattern for that would be helpful as well.

OR! If you have a pattern for a bat hat in general!
I don't think he'll mind too much if it takes a little while longer.

Hi and welcome!
You can knit ears by casting on an odd number of stitches, knitting a couple of rows and then binding off a stitch at the beginning of each row until you have one stitch left. Pull the yarn tail through and you have an ear. I don't think it'll take very many stitches, depending on how large you want the ears.
There are some similar ideas on Ravelry (free to join) and some patterns for bat hats as well.
