sock loom knitting

anyone know a different way of doing toes on a knitting board? the only one i know is doing the heel stitch for the toes then sewing up the toes, i think it looks awful

anyone know any different ones?

random question, can you take stitches off a loom and put them on straight needles? and vice versa?

I think there are some here who might use a knitting board or loom, but in general we hand knit with needles. Maybe one of these links will give you more help, faster. I could give you links for hand knit toe up socks but I don't think that's what you want.
