knitting again
I've recently started knitting again after a 2 year hiatus. Here's a dumb question. I just want to knit a simple newborn hat on circulars, all the patterns I find don't call for enough stitches to go around without stretching them too much. Can't I knIT a baby hat on 16" circulars? I know I'm going to have to go to DPN's eventually, but...
I know I've done this before....

For the size of a newborn hat you're going to need dpns or use a technique like magic loop or two circulars for just the reason you give. It's just not enough stitches to go around on the 16" circ for most patterns.
