help with needle sizes

I also learned on straight bamboo, but a size 8 or 9 I think. I'm pretty sure i got them at Joann or Michaels. Circular needles are wonderful though and they are all I use now. I don't even own a 60". I think that might only be useful for a giant blanket. If you're going to start with circs I'd make sure it's a flexible cable.

A 60" circ would be used if you're making a large circular shawl or blanket, or maybe doing socks 2 at at time in ML, but even then I think it would be way too long. The middle size range is probably the most versatile, I think.
