Knitting Cable Borders
Can anyone help please? I have knitted a throw in strips in a rather superb purple for a friend, but I want to finish it off with a cabled border instead of the lacy one, because my friend isn't a lacy-kind-of-person.

Now..... I haven't been able to find instructions or a pattern that either takes the cable round each corner (by increasing and decreasing) or how to decrease the pattern to make a mitered corner.

Any advice would be really appreciated - either instructions or a link to a suitable pattern which I could buy.

Many thanks

The Great American Aran Afghan has a lovely cabled border.

I don't know if this is the cheapest price you can find, but it has a decent picture. Great pattern, too.
