I grew up in New Orleans, and now live an hour east of there on the MS Gulf Coast. High 90's with 95% humidity is routine here mid-summer. A/C makes it tolerable. How anyone survived here without A/C is beyond me! The cold though, is a different matter entirely. I'm an unhappy camper wearing sweats when the temp dips below 60.

I'd be miserable living anywhere cooler, and always am whenever I travel to a cool locale. I guess it all depends on what we're used to.
