I am also one of those that learned to knit in the last century. My mother taught me when I was little, but I gave it up when I started sewing. My youngest daughter wanted to learn recently, so that has brought me back. I finished a rather "interesting" scarf recently, and now it feels almost like my hands are itching to get going on another project.

Thank y'all so much for the videos. They have been a big help refreshing my memory!

Welcome ChEMom! It is very addictive isn't it? So nice that you and your daughter can knit together and use the videos. Glad you're enjoying them.

That's a no-yarn allergy.

Hello all! I'm a VERY new and inexperienced knitter. I'm an anxious type and love to find new "flow" activities -- actions that clear my mind, hold my attention and give simple pleasure in completing a project.

I'm currently working on learning the purl stitch and already am having great fun... I am a little slow on learning, though. I'm creative but not necessarily very crafty. Hoping to learn lots from the forum! This is a great site!

Hi, srrtype1, welcome to KH! You found the right place for finding out what you need to know. Learning to knit is well worth the effort. I find that just making the stitches helps relieve anxiety. Enjoy!

Hello!
I am a college student and a beginner knitter. I am so glad to have a resource like this site where people can learn more about knitting from experienced knitters! I look forward to learning a lot here and getting to know everyone.

Haven't had chance to look through the whole forum, but on the face of it it looks lovely.

I can't wait to get involved, so thanks for running it.
