Very cute! Looks like my daughter's dog, and she's part dachshund.

ETA==the dog, not my daughter. :0

We had her first vet appt today. The girls in front thought she looked dachshund and sheltie. She's 10.9 lbs with collar on. It's got 3 tags on it (license, chip and ID tag) plus a few D rings on it so I'm sure it added a few oz at least. She did very well and was very calm.

Jan, it sounds like you're all doing great and puppy is fine. That's good.

I'm looking at you avatar photo, Ingrid, and somehow it doesn't surprise me that it's the dog that part daschsund. Thanks for the clarification just the same.

I love her ears and the perky way she holds her head.
I agree she looks part dachshund. There is a long haired one as well as the regular short hair, so maybe that's where the longer fur comes from??

She's a beauty Jan, I have two friends with Shelties, one a pure breed rescue the other a mixed Sheltie breed rescue. Their faces are strikingly similar to Mollie's. Hope she settles in well and enjoys her new life.

I'm no help on a breed guess....all I can add is that she is not a great dane, lab, retriever, boxer, or german shep. Whatever she is she certainly is adorable : )

My niece is an animal lover, and possesses great skills in her identification of dog species. I sent her a link to this thread and her response was "It's dark but it looks like a corgi, sheltie mix." If you have a DNA test to determine what breed(s) she is, I would love to know the results, as well as I imagine a number of people that have responded to your post Adorable puppy and congratulations on the new addition to your family

We've also gotten that response... corgi/sheltie! Interesting! I think we will do it in the next few months just for fun and I'll let you all know here. BTW..there are a few better pics in this thread than the first dark one.
