hello from skook!!!!
Hello, everyone. I don't visit this site much, but for the past few months I've been working on my first knitting project. It is a blanket for my husband. I love knitting and since I have been at it for a little while (since March) I am totally shocked at how fast it has been coming along. I'm not using the proper needles for the yarn. The yarn says to use size 8 and I have been using size 5. I have a hard time using bigger needles. But the tighter fabric will make the blanket warmer. I'm doing a simple k1, p1 stitch. I just want to wish everyone happy knitting!!!

Your blanket sounds lovely. I really like the k1, p1 rib and seed stitch too. Which are you doing? Or some other pattern, maybe. I like it even more since I got the Norwegian purl down. It's really fun to see how the stitches make the pattern. I recently finished a blanket in k2, p2 doing moss stitch/double seed stitch. It really did go quickly but I was using much larger needles, size 10 1/2 I think. Enjoy!
