I am a new knitter and beginning a new project. in one part of the instructions it reads:
Next row: K3, P to the last 3 sts, P3.
I'm confused by these instructions. Does P3 mean something other than purl 3? Am I correct to purl to the end of this row? Why not write P to the end of row? Am I making this more difficult than it is? Please help.
Sometimes pattern writers are pleased to be confusing it seems, other times I think something gets lost in the translation. This instance may have something to do with a border on whatever it is you're knitting. It might be a typo. P3 does = purl 3. Can you link to your pattern? Knowing what you're working on can be helpful.
I should never overestimate my basic arithmetic skills.
