I really dislike knitting with black. It's very hard on the eyes. Light makes a huge difference. I'm with you on that. I knit in black a lot - like it or not - because it's the only color my daughter and granddaughter wear.

I feel you. As much as I love black clothing, I'll never knit with it, too rough on the old eyes.

I made that black belt and stitching the ends was a nightmare because you could hardly see the stitches. I too love the look of black but rarely knit with it. Same goes for Navy blue or anything very dark.
