Thanks for taking care of those links so quickly! I was able to land on the right page the first try!

And thanks for your time and efforts in assembling this interchangeables comparison and rundown!

I personally own quite a few interchangeable sets. Two sets of Knit Picks (wood & nickel), two sets of Addi (regular & lace), Boye Needlemaster, and Denise.

I own numerous styles of set circs, including Addi Turbos, Signature Needles, Crystal Palace bamboos, HiyaHiyas and Lantern Moon (Ebony & Rosewood).

This is my opinion: The Perfect needle, and The Perfect interchangeable set, doesn't exist. There is no perfect needle for every project across the board.

You just have to know what YOU knit, and what YOU need out of a needle...then read reviews, experiment around, take your lumps, and knit with the Winners.

That's what I do.

But I'm definitely done investing and experimenting.

Just wanted to get some opinions on this set of circs:

http://www.amazon.com/Knitters-Pride...rcular+needles

I like to knit with acrylic straights, as I like the look and feel of them, so I thought using acrylic circs would be a good idea. After all, I need them sometime, if I plan on knitting in the round (and I do, of course). I also like that they are interchangeable and have cords of 3 varying sizes. They are also noticeably less expensive than other sets I've seen, which is a plus.

I know that there isn't such a thing as the perfect set of circs, but I guess I just wanted some input about this set from more experienced knitters on here is all.

Knitters pride makes good needles. I've never seen those before so I don't know if they'd be replaceable if you needed anything. Although KH doesn't have that set they do sell some nice sets here, too.

I've used the clear acrylic interchangeables (Zephyr's) that Knit Picks used to sell. I didn't purchase the whole shamoley, just three sizes of tips...6, 7, 8. They were very nice, but not any better than the wood Harmony's. A few tips had to be replaced because the stalk came loose from the ferrule. They didn't pop out, but they swiveled around, but weren't supposed to. I think the glue came loose.

That set you spotted on Amazon is a FANTASTIC price, and I personally love the colors! Nice compact zippered case!

Knitter's Pride has a nice good reputation. I've never heard anything negative about them.

But if you're making your purchase via Amazon, will you still have a reasonable manufacturers warranty, at least upon delivery for defects like what I mentioned?

For $31, how can you go wrong?

I reviewed the acrylic Knit Picks here. They are very similar to the Knitter's Pride, only they are clear instead of multicolored.

The acrylic interchangeables are good if you like a very lightweight needles and like the feel of a flexible needle. The acrylics tends to bend a bit when in use, which is a strange feeling when you're used to rigid needles, but then I'm a very tight knitter. However, for the price they are a fantastic set to discover whether or not you like interchangeable knitting needles. Personally, I prefer the knitter's pride cables over the knit picks so maybe they'll work out well for you.

Now that you mention it, I remember that my acrylic Zephyrs were "flexible" after you knit for a while. The needles responded to the warmth of my hands. But it wasn't off-putting to me, any more than Crystal Palace, Lantern Moon and Signature Needles with their swivel stalk. It's moment that didn't distract from the stitches.
