Thank you both! Even though these are the 0-6 month size, and knit to gauge, they're still a little large in my book (sole is 4" long).

But the wee one in question is 9 months old, and I saw him at birth - he's got some long barrel guns for feet, so they should fit for a little while. I'm sending some fabric puff paint for gramma to dot on the soles so he can keep his feet warm while learning to walk.
