Pattern Question
Hello everyone!

I am a new knitter, trying to finish a baby boot. I am currently working on the instep part of the pattern. I am still learning the different terms with knitting. Row 1 says to K23, ssk, turn work. 16 sts remain unworked. Now, I did the K23 and ssk, but do I just flip my needles around? And what do I do with the remaining 16 sts?

I know this may sound silly, but I am confused!

Thanks for your help

Hi and welcome. A link to your pattern would be nice, you can do it in a 2nd post.

Yes, just turn your work and ignore the 16 sts for now. The pattern should tell you when you knit them again. Please, don't feel silly, it's new to you.

Thank you for your help. I figured it out later that night and completed the booty! The pattern is out of a book. It was pretty simple after I was able to complete that part.

Thanks again!
