Your link works fine. Thanks. Don't you love it when science finally gets around to discovering what we've known all along?

That's a great article!! Thanks usamacka!

It explains a lot now. The day after I started my first knitting project a few years ago, i really wanted to call in from my (very stressfull) job and knit all day. Still do actually LOL! Now if only i could get paid for knitting all day...that would be a very happy life indeed.

Or knitting would become work and what's now work would become your hobby. I think one important aspect of any hobby or activity for relaxation or for other therapeutic aspects is that is isn't a job. Deadlines take the enjoyment out of knitting for me. I love to read, I hated reading assignments in school even if I otherwise would have enjoyed the book I was assigned. I guess my point is, you choose to knit, nobody pays you or otherwise coerces you into doing it. Even when we give in to requests from others, it is still our choice to knit or not knit.

Exactly GG, no one is putting needles in your hand and forcing you to knit. Knitting is fun because its your choice to do so.
