Continental yo, k2tog help
I've been knitting for about 2 months now using the English method. I came across this site and have taugh myself the Continental method. Which I have totally fallen in love with!
I recently started a baby blanket and the pattern seems a little tricky to me if I use the Continental method which is what I'd rather use.
This is what you do: Knit rows 1-4, row 5 is this pattern: k3, *yo, k2tog continue from * until last two stitches and knit 2. Then repeat rows 1-5 until desired length.
It's easy if you use the English method but very slow in my opinion. I watched the video's on this site and I think I have it but want to make sure.
Using the Continental method:
When I get to row 5 I knit 3 stitches then yo (like the video under abbreviations explained) and then k2tog (like the video) and then repeat.
Does this sound right and does it make the same design as the English method?
Also, if the blanket was started using the English method can you switch to using the Continental mothod a few rows from the beginning or will it make the blanket look different?
Thanks for the help and advice.
