Beldaraan, I think every country in the Commonwealth is metricised these days - except for England! Re the metric needle sizes being on the needle, this is the same for addis and inox needles. The diameter of the needle (in mm) is either stamped (inox) or inked (addi) on the side of one of the needles.

Well, we're next door to the world-reknowned US and they don't use the metric system. We get a lot of influence from our neighbours, so there are still a lot of things that we measure using the Imperial system. Officially, we are metric though. When I take my son for a check-up he gets measured in inches and centimetres. I was in school (grade 4 I think) when we switched from one system to the other.

On a side note, I haven't heard much about Inox on these boards. Lots about Addis. I bought Inox dpn's for my socks that I'm going to start knitting. I used them already just to make a swatch. They seem nice.

What did you do???? Did you just use a "fishing line"?? Other circs to hold the sts??? OMG!!!
