Can one block acrylic?

I made this shawl using Red Heart Symphony. Of course it would look better all stretched out, but that's acrylic mohair... can it be done? And if so, how?

The info that I found states that Symphony is machine washable/dryable. With that, given you use the appropriate water temperature, I don't see any reason why you couldn't block it. Or you could give it a round in washer and dryer, acrylic is usually pretty durable as far as I know.
