Need assistance for increase....
Hi all! I need your assistance in doing a pattern for mittens where it calls for knitting to the marker, slipping the marker, then increasing in the next stitch. How is that done? I was putting my needle in the back and pulling through but not off, then putting it in the front to do a regular stitch. It seemed to do the thumb gusset alright, but I would like to know if I am increasing right on this pattern. It only says to increase in next stitch, not M1 or anything.....

Off to knit more of something......

What I would do is knit as stitch as normal (through the front left of the stitch), not slip it off yet, then put the right needle into the back of the same stitch and knit it again. Then slip the two stitches off together.
