Combining two projects (scarves)

I knit a scarf, and I have finished it and everything. But, I wasn't happy with the lenght, and after binding off, I went and bought some more yarn to make it longer. How do I go about connecting these? I know there's a movie someplace around here, but I can't seem to find it! Gar.

Here is the link to the video on picking up stitches....if that's what you were thinking of! You could also reinsert your needle a few rows from the end of the scarf, then unravel your knitting to that point, and join the new ball of yarn from there. Depending on the stitch pattern that would probably look a little better.

well i would think you could just frog the bind off row and attach it like you were joining new yarn. did you bind off in a way that will let you take it out?

I would just undo the bind off. That will give you a row of "live" stitches and you can continue from there

i have never done that one but it doesn't look like you can't pull it out. i may be looking at it wrong though. but that would be what i would do...pull it out and start knitting into the last row.
