Circular needle woes.

I'm in the midst of knitting a felted bag in the round, and have long since transferred my work from double pointed needles to a circular needle. Everything was going fine until I accidentally took off my stitch marker and just kept knitting away! I have NO idea where the round ends! Is there any way I can possibly figure out what round I'm on?!?!? I don't want my bag to be crooked! Thanks!

Probably a silly question, but can you find the tail where you cast on? That might help you come close to where you started.

Just a thought.

yup that would be my suggestion...find the cast on tail and move straight up. unless something funky happened in the transfer that should be right around the beginning of the round i would think.

I would look for the tail first, too. If that's not an option, look at the knitting itself. You can see where the row starts. There's a little glitch as you go from one row to the next since you're not really knitting in a circle but rather in a spiral.

If you can't find the tail as a guide, I wouldn't worry too much about it. Since it's going to be felted you wouldn't be able to tell if the spiral was only one row off.
