cast on question from beginner
I'm starting with a double cast on (my frist time knitting) and have two good stiches going...I am, however, having a problem....when you're suppose to release and pull, my stich tightens, but there is loose string between the stiches...it's not tightening all the way but i can't get the string to pull through....anyone know what i'm doing wrong?

Mostly, the answer to this question would be PRACTICE. But....did you watch the video at the top of THIS PAGE? That will REALLY help! It takes any knitter some time to work out their own tension and technique. Have patience with yourself and have FUN!
