OT: Emergency Housing for Hurricane Victims
I got this from TrueMajority.org and it's a great idea. It's a website for people to post available housing for hurricane victims. They're looking for places within a reasonable distance from the coast, within 300 miles. It's only a matter of time before the authorities tap into this and get people mobilized to move out of the area.

Just think, you can house people who need help and teach them how to knit at the same time!

OMG, that is such a wonderful thing!!!
And the knitting... what better way to make someone feel calm, productive, and hopefully bring some small good out of this horrible thing? If I lived closer, I would so do this...
