Figuring out multiples
OK, I am math phobic, but boyhowdy has knitting made me face my fears when it comes to math. So heres my question. If I find a stitch pattern and I want to figure out what it is (multiples of 7 +2), How do I figure it out? Thanks, Candace

If a stitch pattern calls for 7sts plus 2sts, it means that you can use that pattern by casting on ANY multiple of 7sts, PLUS 2 more. So for example, 7x7 + 2 = cast on 51sts, or 7x2 + 2 = cast on 16sts.

Hope this helps.
