Questions On Pattern
What does yon mean?

How do you do this part....1st row k5 (yarn over needle P1 P3 tog P1 yon k1) to last 4 Sts K4

This is a baby Jacket that I am knitting.

They are using some FANCY SCHMANCY way of saying yarn over...YO.

Kelly's right. What a silly way give directions. You'd have to put the yarn over to purl and the yarn back to knit anyway, so why confuse the issue?

Keep in mind that to make a YO when going from K to P, you have to wrap the yarn around the needle one whole extra time....so, bring it fwd as if you are going from K to P, then wrap it one time AROUND the needle in the same direction.

That's a good point! I hadn't considered that it would be a yo in addition to putting the yarn to the front. But it must, since you're decreasing, also. Ignore my previous post. Listen to Kelly!!
