Trouble in Scarfville
I am desperately searching for a pattern for a manly scarf. I am trying to knit my husband a scarf for winter and I'm not having much luck in searching the free pattern sites. I am a relatively new knitter so some of the more complicated patterns are well.....a little too complex for me as of yet.

This is a library of stitches. Just pick one out that you think you can master (and you're probably a lot better than you give yourself credit for) and go for it.

The nice thing about scarves is gauge generally isn't important and you can make it as wide or as long as you want. I did a k2 p3 rib for my dd last winter out of chunky wool-ease and she loved it. Couldn't ask for anything simpler.
