Long swim meet weekends
So I want lots of projects in case I get bored.

I started a suzie-booga last night. I am casting on 42 stitches and going up at least 80 rows. I only have 3 skeins so may run into problems - I am using colorpath 134....hoping LYS has it so I can pick up more if I need it!

Also, working on Noro Kureyon sweater, and am taking along a ball of malabrigo for a scarf. I am either going to do ole shale from Mielke farms or a scrunchable.

This should keep me busy!

What would we do without knitting? That was my favorite part of baseball season.

Fortunately for my boys, they end up at the invitationals. Unfortunately for me, the invitationals are normally a dawn to night affair. Next Saturday the prelims are at 8 and the finals are at 4. Luckily I like the parents involved (and have several knitty buddies ).

Today the meet is from 12-6. I have a shower I need to drop in on (and deliver the baby afghan that Cooper so adored), so I will probably miss one or two events, (each boy swims 4 things, and both are in the ending relay), but I will still have tons of knitting time. I just packed my goody bag :XX:

Track & Field season is starting soon. I'm kind of excited -- now that I'll be knitting while waiting for my son's events to come up. He's a sprinter and a triple jumper and is usaully in 4 different events. Its a long 3+ hours when you're just waiting for the next event. But now I'll be :XX: :XX: :XX: !!

I'm teaching a new class starting tomorrow and as I wrote my syllabus, I found myself trying to plan more independent work so that I could knit! shame on me--naughty teacher--I, of course, will not be bringing my knitting to class but I did think about it...

Track wouldnt work here in NE Ohio (for knitting, at least). Kyle ran track his sophomore year. In Stow, track is a "winter sport" (at least according to the coach). Most of the meets were run in snow and sleet. Ugh. At least swim meets are nice and hot!
