I think a knitting journal is a great idea. I am considering which one to buy of all the nice ones I've seen here!!

I need to keep the labels from the yarn etc. that I am currently using so I will remember what I used etc.

GREAT idea! I bought a book to do this same thing with my sewing but I never used it! I'm a pretty new knitter so I think I'll start now!

Great idea! I have to say I am usually against paper based systems, I love my computer and have thought about doing a blog! But being able to put in the labels and bits of yarn appeals to me

I am only on project three of my knitting life....so I am off to the shops this lunchtime to find a book and buy me some glue!!!

I actually just started a scrapbook to capture all my knitting projects. It combines both of my hobbies!! :D I bought just a small 8x8 inch book and use 1-2 pages per project -- I include all the info that you guys do, and a couple of pictures and a swatch of the yarn. (Plus, it helps me use up all the scrap pieces of cardstock and random stickers and embellishments left over from my "real" scrapbooks.) It's neat to pick it up every now and then and see what I've accomplished, plus then I have the fun of making up the pages!

I would really love to have a scrapbook like this. But I am afraid. My life, my house, my family can't handle another craft....

Hiya,
My knitting journal has officially been started

It looks a bit like something I did at school, but I think it's great! All I need is some photos of the stuff I have made so I can put them in the journal and up on here

Ingrid, I've seen that, but it doesn't help. I need to see her knitting 2 socks on the ML. I think I could figure out a hat or something by her video.

I'm in love with journals anyway, as well as knitting, so for me it's like, you squish both together and voila! You've got the perfect life.
