So here's my .02, do it without the ribbing, maybe do it with moss stich or honeycombs or somehting but i guess it's just me I don't like the big lines. But that cable is lovely. I totally can't wait to see you do it.

It's kind of hard to see in this picture, but Rebecca magazine has a pattern similar to that in an old issue. Look here, it's the yellow one. It has the diagonal ribs, but more than one cable. You'd have to get the magazine from ebay or something, but if you're scared to go with out a pattern it might be helpful!

the ribbing might be done by just purling on top of the edge of the knit stitches, and in doing this throughout, it slowly goes diagonal. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me.
